Barns Green Half
Well yes a nice day for a run(raining and a bit dull) but I quite like that sort of weather for running in so off we all went to Barnes
Green to do the Half.
A jolly crew with Kim Dave Cliff and I meeting up before the race and just when we had thought he would not make it Pete turned up having cycled from brighton to Barnes Green (20Mile or so) and then joined in the run.
Pete had the best time also which kind off makes you think oh dear maybe if I was younger ( but then Pete's also older that me so that means I just cant win :)

A small Sunday Jaunt
Went for a leg loosener to Ditchling and caught a lift back with Kath. A good 5 miles and a bit. Nice afternoon but colder out of the sun as i ran in the shadow of the Beacon towards Ditchling. Garmin ran out of battery half way through so no map!
TGFI
Dr G, Rich and I met for a run after work on Friday. Just a small one we all agreed, we were all suffering various stages of post injury syndrome. Rich nearly even called off because of feeling fluee!
We eventually set off about 5.30 ish head torches at the ready just in case it was a longer 'short one' than we had expected.
Dr G seemed to run out of steam up the hill towards the beacon and it was a glorious evening with a great quality of light.
We headed off back down the hill but as we got towards the home straight Dr G found his form and decided to make a race of it back to my back gate. I am pleased to say that I was feeling very good and really made a pleasing sprint pace the last third of a mile or so (down hill I may add).
This was a great little 7 miles in good company and we may try to keep this a regular slot, I am ok about running in the dark so we may see how this goes.

My Sunday Run
Well I did venture out after all on Sunday. It was a dull and dismal day with a fine sea mist down around the coast. I felt like a long run so I decided to go for a route I had not done for some time. The picture was taken from my phone and mo blogged to this site at that time but strangely as David has pointed out it seems to have 3.29am as the post time not Sunday afternoon?
I will add a map of the rout and add a marker where the picture was taken.
It ended up 9.72 miles which I was fairly chuffed with nut my calves were not. Hey Ho!

Italian Job
Well this is me finishing the La Via Marenca Utra Trail half marathon in Liguria, Italian Alps.
The run profile of this run is over 1000m height gain and ended up more like 25K rather than 21K.
But through the 30 heat I enjoyed finishing at least. The views and cool air of the mountains were very welcome
